The Emperors Wings sets sail for her journey to the Outer Reef. The overnight private mooring at Bait Reef allows the opportunity to dive with some of the most spectacular coral and acquatic life seen. Certified divers please remember to bring certificates & log books. If wishing to try diving and do introductory dives then you only need bring a sense of adventure.

Feel the nostalgia of a bygone era in small numbers. ‘Ise Pearl’ was named after the Japanese pearling town of ‘Ise’ for the cultured pearl industry and is a gaff rigged topsail ketch. Built in 1956 by Charlie Crowley to a design by Norman Wright in Brisbane she was worked and owned by Japanese pearlers for 38 years.

The skipper ‘Sparrow’ has spent most of his life at sea and is a fully qualified traditional wooden boat builder. Ise Pearl was restored to near perfection, regardless of time, money or effort as ‘Sparrow’s’ own boat and home. She exudes the feeling of strength, nostalgia and romance. Ise still to this day has pearl shells wedged between her timbers.

‘Ise Pearls’ beautiful lines have not escaped the keen eye of movie producers both in Australia and overseas. She featured as the main boat in Warner Bros. production of “Tales of the South Seas” which was filmed in the Whitsunday Islands, as well as many episodes of “Flipper” and several commercials.
