We are the only family owned/operated Backpacker Hostel in Airlie Beach Australia that has been providing great service for over 16 years. We offer direct access to the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef. We have an extensive knowledge of and can book the best deals for your money on all Reef and Island trips to suit your individual needs.

It never ceases to amaze us how many people are booked on Day or Overnight Whitsunday island boats not suited for the experience sought by the guest.

 Remember you pay for what you get. If it sounds 'REALLY CHEAP' more often than not there are shortcuts being made or taxes and charges not included in the price.

These agents dont tell you the differences between all vessels, just the ones that pay a high commission.

Most out of town travel agents have never seen the Whitsunday boats they are selling and are commission driven and have trouble keeping up with changes in the boating arena.  

Likewise, they are not able to offer the local stand-by pricing that we as experienced local Airlie Beach operators can provide. We also have an extensive knowledge of the standards provided by each of the boats sailing the Whitsundays.

The Bush Village crew also know you will return after your trip wanting a hot shower and a clean bed.  We take pride in hearing about your experience on the water so we may share this with future guests.

Breakfast is served from 7.30 till 8.30am overlooking the pool, spa and hammocks in the gardens.  Breakfast consists of a choice of 4 different cereals, 3 types of breads for toast, freshly home cooked muffins, fresh fruit platter, with tea and coffee. The laundry is open 24 hours a day and whilst waiting for your washing, there is an extensive display of all north and southbound backpacker accommodation brochures for the east coast of Australia.

Bush Village is a 72 bed boutique backpackers that offers that little bit extra for those who appreciate quality.

Our attention to cleanliness and comfort with our detailed touches gives Bush Village a nice homely feel. 

Pool side offers a spa, dart board and BBQ facilities. If you want to bring your own CD's these are always welcome to be played poolside. We host a Sunday BBQ weekly to encourage guests to mingle and share their travelling stories with one another for a small price of $5 per person.

Bush Village has a Residential Liquor Licence and offers a wide range of beverages at very reasonable prices (cheapest in town).

The hostels' common room has an amazing large screen TV with an extensive range of  700 movies, complemented by a full surround sound system. The great thing about Bush Village is that once here you can save your dollars by utilising our numerous facilities. The first person each day to choose the nightly movie gets the pick.The selection is one of the best.
